Deep Community Roots, Here to Create a Better Dawson Creek

I’ve lived in Dawson Creek for over 20 years, dating back to 2005 when I first arrived here into this small close-knit community. Looking back there’s no place better to call home, raise a family and enjoy life. 

I’ve been actively involved in our community for a number of years with a wide range of community organizations, events and clubs. I’ve been a part of the Dawson Creek Speed Skating Club for nearly 20 years and have spent the last nearly 10 years volunteering with The Ark Christian Youth Centre, along with volunteering with Relay For Life, Terry Fox Run, and pretty much every Hockey Canada event to date that our community has hosted

With my extensive community connections, I truly believe this advantage will not only allow me to work well with council on a wide variety of concerns, projects and more.

A Safe Community

As a council we should be liaising with our local RCMP detachment, Citizens on Patrol and utilizing our local law enforcement services to ensure the safety and wellbeing of ALL of our residents

An Accessible Community

While our community has come a far way since it was there is still work to do to improve accessibility across the community. Some of our down-town shops lack many accessibility features such as step-free entry, powered door openers for wheelchair users, along with narrow side walks

Community Connections is a huge asset I truly believe every community should have. There are certain events throughout the year we used highlight and have since stopped doing.
